Field Study: Monday, Nov 28
Observation Time: 5:20 Day light: 9 hrs, 21 mins
41 degrees out and quite dead. Unfortunately, I have no snow. All of my precious snow melted. It has rained, but not today. The stream is still foggy, and bubbly, still draining from the surrounding area. I've officially noticed the sunsets early, I had to rush out of the house to get photos before dark AT 5 PM. I guess I just never noticed how early its gotten. Still peaceful outside even without the snow or rain.
The most change I have noticed is not the landscape. It's been my attitude and emotions as I've done this project. This has been the best school project I've done in a while. It has been nice to use homework as an excuse to take a nice walk and take some nice pictures. I got to see beautiful sunsets, critters, leaves, snow, rain, and of course, squirrels my dog barked at. All of them has brought be lots of joy. God's simple creation and the time I've gotten to take to appreciate it has been a short highlight of my week. I didn't know how much I could appreciate the time I have taking a walk with my dog and enjoying the fresh air and God's perfect creation. My field studies won't be the same anymore as I have recently lost my walking buddy, my dog Tucker. So I couldn't love this project more, a time I had to spend with my dog in God's perfect peace. Thank you for that opportunity.

Field Study: Sunday, Nov 13
Observation time: 10:43 Day Light: 9 hrs, 50 mins
The tree still stands. But, all of the creatures have gone away. I heard one bird, but didn't see it. Its snowing! Yay! I love the snow, it hasn't come soon enough. It was 45 degrees out, but I had gloves so it was fine. I don't think this snow will stay but we are getting more soon. It wasn't very windy but it was chilly.

Field Study: Friday, Oct 28
Observation Time: 11: 43 Day Light: 10 hrs, 28 mins
When I first arrived there was a fat possum sitting in the grass munching on something. I tried to approach it, (yes, I know they have rabies) but it got scared. It stopped and looked at me and then it ran away. I thought they were supposed to play dead or something but oh well. I couldn't get a good picture of it. All the leaves have fallen and have almost clogged the stream. It was pretty chilly at 41 degrees, but it was very quiet. It was such a clear night and the stars were gorgeous.

Field Study: Wednesday, Oct 12
Observation time: 3:18 Day Light: 11 hrs, 15 mins
It was the coldest of all my field studies by far. It reached a high of 64 degrees, and was rainy most of the day. The trees are changing and the leafs are falling. There hasn't been sightings of birds, bees, or bunnies. The creek is even larger than last time because of the continuous rain and water shed. There also is quite some wind coming in at about 12.5 mph. All of the flowers have disappeared, but that broken tree limb is still going strong.

Field Study: Sunday, Sept. 25
Observation time: 2:25 Daylight hours: 12 hours, 1 min
I didn't see rabbits or birds, probably because it was sprinkling. It was cooler today with a high of 63. The trees haven't changed or lost leaves and the orange flowers are still in bloom! Lots of water in the stream today, it has been raining and sprinkling so that makes sense.

Field Study: Monday, Sept. 12
Observation Time: 6:54
Day Light: 12 hours, 39 mins
Today there were rabbits when I first arrived but I quickly scared them away. There were no bees today because it was a cooler day. The orange flowers haven't died and these yellow, very pollinated flowers have opened. The stream was larger today probably because of the rain yesterday. There were some birds sitting on the dead tree. Any day that branch is either going to be taken down or it's going to fall.
